About the blog

A group of parents got together about a year ago to plan some monthly social events for our young adult children, who have disabilities of varying kinds. My friend Gill said, “I just want my son to have Everyday Friends like his sister does.”

It’s what we all want for our children–everyday friends, not volunteers or paid staff, and an everyday life of meaningful activity out in the community.

I’ll share some ideas about how to find those opportunities in Toronto and reflect on what it’s like to help my daughter Maddie build an everyday life.
